was discovered in North America, is the family of Velociraptor and as small as a chicken. It weighs between 1.8 and 2.25 Kg not and presumably fed on insects, mammals, amphibians and even small dinosaur babies.
This dinosaur lived some 75 million years in southern Alberta, Canada, a very prone area where once lived in numerous discoveries of dinosaurs despecies.

The creature has been named Hesperonychus elizabethae , in tribute to the late Canadian paleontologist Elizabeth "Betsy" Nicholls, who recovered the specimen. Hesperonychus means "Western claw", referring to the higher than presented in the second toe in a sickle.
